Business Challenge

Sony India streamlined it’s billing operations with SAP B1, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) module. For managing day to day billing operations, the entire network of dealers uses SAP B1 module. Sony has it’s dealers sitting at various remote locations. Therefore company needed a cost-effective application publishing solution that allows dealers from remote locations to access the centralized SAP B1 ERP application in a server based computing environment.

Implementation of Go-Global

Pertaining to their need, Sony India decided to implement Go Global, which is an efficient and cost-effective server-centric computing solution that provides an easy access to centrally-running SAP B1 billing module from a variety of local and remote client devices. Adapt being the exclusive distributor of Go Global in India, helped them to implement this solution in a best manner without a single change in existing applications. Pleased with the simplicity and pain-free roll-out the new application access solution, Sony India deployed more than 300 concurrent licenses of Go-Global for Windows providing easy application access for dealers. In Remote Access solution, generally applications run on a secure central computer (the Host), making them available to local, remote and mobile devices (the Clients) running just about any platform and operating system, including iPad, iPhone, and Android. The host-resident applications appear on the client devices just as though they were running locally.
